Sterling silver jewelry must have a content of at least 92.5% of fine silver mixed with 7.5% of copper or other metal. This formula is internationally accepted and it gives sterling silver the hardness and the tolerance to work with. Fine silver is too soft.
Silver antiquing is done to accent the beauty of the ornamentation by applying an oxide which darkens the metal wherever applied.Shadows and highlights are created to give depth and character to the jewelry.
Please note: For measurements listed in mm, 25mm = approximately 1 inch. Weights are listed in the body of the description and are in grams.
